According to a study in the American Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, hormones released during stress contribute to high blood sugar or hyperglycemia by directly stimulating glucose production and interfering with tissue disposal of glucose.

Therefore it is important for people with diabetes to know how to relieve stress. One of the best ways to relieve stress is by exercise regularly.

Regular exercise not only helps people with diabetes to control blood sugar levels, but it also make a person has a time for itself. This is also a way to prevent and overcome stress.

Some other ways that are also effectively to prevent stress are adequate rest, eat a healthy balanced diet, as well as having a positive lifestyle such clean environment and always open mind.
